We build our cakes with premium name-brand diapers in size 1, which fit babies from roughly 8 to 14 pounds. Babies outgrow newborn size quickly, so size 1 diapers tend to get more use in those busy first weeks.
How many diapers you get depends on the size of the cake:

Once the tiers are assembled, each one is wrapped in premium grosgrain or satin ribbon and finished with bows. Then come the details that give every cake its personality: themed cardstock cutouts like teddy bears, elephants, giraffes or hot air balloons, plus colorful crinkle paper between the tiers. Some designs add sparkle with decorative gemstones.
